Nicole & her Husband Lose 20 Pounds Each with Nutrition Coaching from Elect Wellness

Tell us a little about yourself…

Hi. My name is Nicole, and I live in Salina. I work for a software company, and I create training materials for them. And for fun, I like to do a whole bunch of things like knit and crochet, things like that. 

What drew you to Elect Wellness?

I felt like after I got Covid, it was really hard for me to stay full or to get full. I was hungry constantly so I wanted to find something that would help me not be so hungry all the time and try to lose some of that weight that I gained. I tried some things on my own at first. I read a little bit about macros, and I tried it on my own, but I don’t think I was doing it right and it wasn’t really helping me. Elect Wellness got back to me really quickly.

How has the experience been?

They did a little consultation phone call and they said that they could come out. The assessment would help me figure out where I am, what I need to start with and then we could go from there. I think it’s been great. So, the first day for that first assessment, Caitlin came out and she asked us what we ate. She did all our measurements and then she just looked and said, “Oh, your breakfast may be a little bit less and add an egg and that should help you not be so hungry throughout the day.” And, of course, at first, I was skeptical. I was like, “Okay. Sure. I’m gonna eat less breakfast and add an egg and be better?” And it actually worked.   

What benefits have you seen?

The next day I tried it and it really worked. And so, I figured you know maybe she knows what she’s talking about. And so, I though that we would try it. It has worked tremendously. We, my husband and I, both lost about 20 pounds. We feel better. We think we look better. Um and the most important thing is I’m not hungry all the time anymore. The other great thing about it is that it’s not super restrictive like a diet would be. Like we’ve tried a lot of diets and cleanses in the past and they’re like well, you can’t have chocolate and you can’t have cereal and you can’t have cake, but this like Caitlin teaches you how to work in the things that you wanna have with all of the other things that you need to have for the day. So, it really helps because you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything. 

What would you say to others?

I would say do it. It’s very nice to have someone tell you kind of what you need to aim for and kind of show you the ropes. Sometimes, you need help. I’m not a nutrition expert. I mean I could read a lot about nutrition, but I’m never gonna learn everything. So, it’s nice to have someone there that you can ask like, “Hey, you know yesterday was a little bit tough. What do you think I could do to make yesterday better or to make today better than yesterday?” And as long as you stick with it, I think you’re gonna see great results.
