Do I have to be a personal trainer?
Absolutely not. We are ultimately selling a business/investment opportunity. Hiring coaches is the fastest way to freedom, so there is no need to be certified yourself.

 

Do I have to hire a personal trainer immediately?
Yes, if you are not a personal trainer yourself. While nutrition coaching services can be offered remotely and sourced through headquarters, personal training must be sourced and delivered locally.  

 

Do I have to be a dietitian?
Absolutely not. You can simply hire a local dietitian. They love getting away from insurance companies and hospitals, and instead working with motivated clients on real habit and life change.

 

Do I have to hire a dietitian immediately?
No, you don't have to hire a dietitian immediately, as you can leverage our corporate remote dietitian coaching, for a fee, until you are ready to establish your local dietitian to better solidify the relationships of your clients to your company with face-to-face in-home nutrition consults.

 

Can I be both the trainer and franchisee?
Certainly. We have a lower cost "solopreneur" option for personal trainers who want to be independently successful, and are able and willing to do the delivery work themselves. This is a simple way to get started and very quickly build a reputation of client success stories. Later on, you may choose to gain leverage by surrounding yourself with additional coaches. 

 

Can I be both the dietitian and franchisee?
Certainly. Being both franchisee and dietitian puts you in a wonderful spot to have close relationships with each of your clients, in additional to the close relationships to your trainers. You may choose to eventually hire another dietitian, however, as you seek more time freedom.

 

Do I need specific training or education?
No, there is no specific requirement in education or experience to start a franchise. However, both the mindset and skillset of every applicant will be heavily considered before awarding a franchise.

 

Are your trainers and dietitians actually employees or just contractors?
Other companies try to "have their cake and eat it too" by using contractors to save money on payroll taxes and benefits. We already experimented with this and found the opportunity costs of unfocused team members with misaligned priorities to be greater than the benefit of a little more perceived profit. We build dedicated teams, which start with W2 employment.

 

Can I be a passive / absentee owner?
No, but you can absolutely be a semi-passive / semi-absentee owner. Next to no face-to-face time with your clients, and very limited face-time with your team, is required to successfully run this business. We may allow for full absentee ownership in the future. Currently, however, we require you the owner to also be the operator, and to live within 50 miles of the center of your territory.

 

Do I need to have an office?
We only require enough of an office to be verified with Google My Business, as this is essentially for SEO. This is best done with co-working or a dedicated desk, typically available for anywhere between $50-$500 / month, usually on the low end. We have achieved verification with as little as $20 at some locations. This office needs to be in the heart of your territory, even though it does not necessarily need to be frequented.

 

Can I buy a franchise is another state?
No, not currently. We may allow this in the future. However, our present goal to maintain the highest quality service and brand reputation as possible. We don't feel allowing out-of-state franchise ownership is congruent with that goal at this time.

 

What is the franchise fee?
The franchise fee is a $10,000 brand fee + $1.50 per qualified household.

 

Do you provide financing?
We do not currently provide direct financing. However, loans are available through associations including but not limited to the SBA for qualified buyers.

 

What is the royalty and do you have an ad fund?
The royalty is 6% of total sales and the national ad fund is 1.5%, collected on the 5th and 20th of each month.

 

Do you help me select a territory?
Absolutely. Once we've acquired your primary personal residence, we can help you select the best possible territory option for your location and budget.

 

How is my territory determined?
Your territory will be a zip code, or collection of zip codes, totaling approximately 10,000 qualified households or more. The actual population count will often be much larger, but unlike other companies, we only focus on those most likely to become clients.

 

Is my territory protected?
Absolutely. So long as you are not in violation of your agreement, we as a franchisor will not sell personal training or nutrition coaching services into your territory, nor will we allow another franchisee to do so. We do however, reserve the right to possibly sell other wellness-related products into the territory (including but not limited to consumable supplements sold via alternative channels), should we choose to do so in the future.

 

Can I take clients outside of my territory?
No, you cannot. The separation and protection of territories is paramount to the success of each franchisee. Furthermore, the focus on a given geographic area is vital for team logistics and control of expenses. 

 

What does initial training look like?
You will spend one week at headquarters with the folks that started in all. If you are an existing franchisee with us and are simply buying more territories, completing headquarters training is not required.

 

Is there onsite franchisee training?
There is no need for us to come to your territory, as no extra value will be imparted to a home-delivered service business. However, after initial training at headquarters is completed, we will provide two weeks of business management mentoring via screenshare.  

 

Do I need to purchase or lease a branded vehicle(s)?
No. We've experimented with mandating branded vehicles for owners and have determined that they are not a necessary part of business success.

 

May I drive a branded vehicle if I want to?
Yes, you and franchisee may choose to wrap your personal / company vehicle for the additional marketing benefits. All wraps must be designed by headquarters. You can simply complete our vehicle description form through our operations manual, and we will design a wrap for you, at your cost. 

 

Do you have an equipment package for new franchisees?
Absolutely. Our equipment package includes more than enough tools for a personal trainer to support all the various client goals you will encounter. It includes, but is not limited to adjustable dumbbells, suspension straps balance pod, stability balls, aerobic steps, sandbags, and more.

 

Do I get an operations manual?
Absolutely. Furthermore, it is not a a static paper document, but a constantly improved and updated vault of detailed processes, policies, and procedures kept in the cloud for easy access. It also comes with team completion metrics and quizzing/ testing, so the onboarding of your new hires is smooth and seamless.

 

How soon can I start making money?
This depends on your ability to follow instructions and inspire your clients and team. Our model allows you to be profitable extremely quickly vs. other expensive and inefficient franchises.

 

What is the structure for ongoing support ?
In addition to support via phone and text, available from 9-5 CST Monday - Friday, we provide weekly system success strategies via email, monthly service and skill improvement presentations via webinar, and quarterly one-on-one business mastery meetings (video-chat) with franchisees.

 

Do you have a Financial Performance Representation (FPR) available?
Yes, you can review this information within Item-19 of the Franchise Disclosure Document when your are granted access.
