Elect Wellness offers the following personal training styles. The styles can be mixed and delivered as you choose, although we will consult you on what will best fit your goals and priorities. Keep in mind that the training styles are sections of a continuum, rather than separate ideas altogether. Rotation through a section of the continuum nearest your goals usually provides more results than a long-term plan of a certain number of sets, reps, etc.
Our fat loss training uses large muscle groups with muscle failure induced at a high number of reps per set. Rest is minimized to keep the heart rate steadily in the fat burning zone.
For muscle growth training, working sets and rest are alternated to allow sufficient recovery, in order to give full intensity to every repetition. Muscle failure using heavier weights is induced with fewer reps to develop new tissue.
Body sculpting training is a combination of fat loss and muscle growth, achieved by resting specific muscle groups while training others, allowing for muscle development while keeping the heart rate up for fat loss.
Athletic performance is gained by training for power, which is strength divided by time. Improving athleticism requires training in a safe, explosive manner to maximize speedy strength output. Rest intervals and other factors depend on the applied sport.
