Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

I love this dinner from Spark Recipes!

Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Ingredients:

3 4 oz. Natural/Organic Chicken breasts, no skin.

6 tsp Brown Sugar – light

1 tbsp Organic Butter* – Unsalted

1 Clove Garlic

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 cup pecans (optional)

1 can Green Beans (low sodium)

Chicken Directions:

1. Melt butter in pan (I use the pancake grill on my George Foreman).

2. Brown the garlic in the butter

3. Add Chicken breasts to garlic and butter & cook thoroughly, adding salt and pepper to chicken.

4. When Chicken is fully cooked add brown sugar on top of each breast

5. Allow the brown sugar to melt into the chicken (about 5 minutes)

* Don’t use margarine. It has many artifical ingredients harmful to your health. If you are going to use butter at least get as close to natural as you can.

Number of servings 3. Serve with Green Beans.

Note: Pecans add healthy fats to this dinner, but are optional if are trying to reduce daily fat content.

Chicken Recipe (no nuts)

Also, if you wish to lower the fat content replace butter with Chicken broth (low sodium).
